Yesterday there was talk of Indian blood peaches in a Pizzaiolo thread. If anyone in the East Bay is curious about them, they had lots of Indian blood peaches yesterday evening at the produce market at Market Hall. They're from Goldbud Farms and very sweet. As reported, the skin is thicker (and fuzzier) than the usual peach, but I didn't find it acidic at all. Perhaps it's a newer strain, bred for more conventional tastes? Nonetheless it's a really juicy and sweet peach so I was happy to find them.
