Here are my impressions from having cooked most of the recipes.
- Her recipes are too oily and saucy for me. I typically use about half the sauce. (I've probably made Twice cooked pork 10 times with half-sauce, I can't imagine eating it with the stated amount of sauce. I've eaten this in restaurants, I know what it's supposed to taste like.)
- Portions are small. I double/triple/quadruple recipes.
This book is my favorite cookbook judging from how many recipes I've cooked from it. It has taught me so much about Chinese cooking. But I'm curious if others have the same impressions.
