Not impressed with Marjorie (SEA)

Had dinner on Saturday night at Marjorie. We had a reservation and were shown to a table right away (the place was not busy). We decided to order several small plates and some wine. We asked the server to pace the food as we were not in a hurry. Sure enough the food came within minutes of each other and we could barely fit it on our table for two. The plantain chips were amazing! The rest of the food was good, but not great. Maybe they're trying to do too much with the menu going in so many directions? Halfway thru our meal a large party was seated next to us and they must have all brought uninvited guests cause they didn't have enough room at their table. We felt pressured to leave (by them and the owner) with looks and when we offered to move when ordering dessert our server told us it wasn't a problem to stay where we were. Well it was a problem when people start crowding you and staring at you in hopes that you'll be leaving soon. We couldn't get out soon enough and will probably not return. I wrote an e-mail to the owner earlier this week and did not get a response. Times like these make you not want to try new places......
