Frances and I will be flying in to Portland on May 31st, and staying one night at Country Inn at Camden-Rockport. Thence to Jonesport, then to Stonington. This is actually a Preaching Mission for the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We'll be hitting some of our favorites: Lobster Pound at Lincolnville Beach, Helens, at either Ellsworth or Machias -- or both, and The Seafarer's Wife at Jonesport. Later we'll be flying down to D.C. and staying with Son Eric at Alexandria"s Old Town. My peersonal, prioritized, list of Maine Coast favorites: real clam chowder, sauteed scollops, fried clams (crumbed, of course), real baked beans, some picked-out lobster meat, and a hunk of strip fish to munch on. I'll report to you all later on our success. And oh, I almost forgot: blueberry pie with chocolate ice cream! All this from a displaced herrin' choker born in West Jonesport, raised around Boston and Providence, lived literally all around the country, and now in Missouri 35 years. Professor C.
