Tried Iluna Basque last night and unfortunately it did not impress. Sunday must be an off night for them, as service was completely indifferent and there appreared to be no supervision in the kitchen. Fried potatos were a nice homemade chip, with interesting dipping sauce. Batter fried asparagus was disappointing because it could have been so good (like Coco500 tempura string beans) but instead was soggy. Duck Rilletes was right out of the walk in cold, and served with bread toasted hours previous. Shrimp and Lamb brochetes were only ok.
I wanted to like this place and if everything was prepared well, it may have succeeded. Next stop Zarzuela.
