HAD to safisfy a soft-shell craving today (due in part to discussions on this board). After multiple attempts, finally located some at Johnny's Half Shell. The two softshells ($19.95) were the smallest I've seen - two bites each. I of course don't carry a ruler w/ me, but they appeared to straddle, if not cross, the 3-1/2" (spike tip to spike tip) limit. They were quite tasty, though. I had to order something else (shrimp&grits) so as not to leave ravenous. Also, my server did comp my beer. I had casually answered "small" when asked how they were. Can recommend them there only as an expensive appetizer, however.
