We went to Il Faro in Medford Square last night (after ALMOST going to Pasta Lina on Route 60 in East Medford, but they didn't have mussels).
Il Faro is a very nice Italian restaurant with an attractive, subdued, mellow atmosphere. The food was really good--the mussels were very fresh and the risotto with porcini mushrooms was fantastic. Soups, salads, wine, and bread were also top-notch (I really liked the Montepulciano wine that I had; it was rather mild and slightly buttery).
The place isn't very well known. When we were there, everybody knew everybody else in the place, and it wasn't quite full at about 7:30 on a Saturday night.
Compared to nearby Bocelli's, I'd say the food is about equal in quality. Bocelli's feels a bit more informal, but you can't really go wrong with either restaurant.
