My wife and I had dinner for the 1st time at Il Borgo this past weekend. I think it has been mentioned once or twice before on this board. We were quite pleased.
The menu is basic trattoria Italian covering most of the usual subjects. Pastas are in the $10-$13 range and entrees were around $14-$18.
We split a nicely dressed salad of radicchio, pine nuts and gorgonzola. I had the grilled lamb chops with great roasted potatoes and broccoli. My wife had the lobster ravioli in tomato cream sauce. The wine list has a couple of nice wines under $25.
The two Italian gentlemen who run the place were very cordial and comped us a taste of grappa and a dish of tiramisu to end the meal.
Is this a "great" restaurant? Probably not, but it is a good one.
