IKEA - Elizabeth - did someone actually recommend the cafeteria there?

korgy | Oct 29, 200309:37 PM     7

..or was it my imagination?

i trekked out there today, all the way from Brooklyn, for what i had imagined to be some Scandinavian culinary smogasborg in the form of a cafe - when i got there, i said -"surely this can't be what they mean..." i don't eat red meat, so i had the salmon and the sides, all of which awful, dried potatos etc.

then, i thought - "hmmm - maybe they mean the Swedish specialty items at the other end - maybe there's a cafe there" - when i got there, it was a small little area, and the only cooked food was a few pastries.

Did i make it up that IKEA cafeterias have been recommended on Chowhound?? Am i delusional?

i did buy a jar of Lingonberry sauce, which tastes like a cross between cranberry sauce and strawberry jam -- nothing special.

Someone please assist my confusion.
