Iguana's Rana's/Jackson Heights

This newest addition to 37th Ave opened about two weeks ago. I've been there three times for a light soup lunch. Soup is served in a large bowl for $4.00, $2.50 for a cup. I had two of the three soups listed. The Tortilla Soup is a hearty chicken broth with crispy torillas with a touch of cheese and avocado. It's so very good. The second soup is the "Chili for Chilli" topped with cheddar, sour cream and chilli peppers. This is truly a classic soup. They also have Burritos which is on my list for dinner soon. It served with a side order of salsa, lettuce/tomato and sour cream ($6.00). They also serve chimichangas, quesidillas, nachos and salads. Tex-Mex with a touch of Baja. Located at 79-08 37 Ave. Place hasn't attracted much business. Sure hope we don't end up losing this Gem. At night they dim the lights and have candles on the tables. No liquor is served but they do have Mexican sodas, Horchata and Mexican Fruit Punch. Also espresso and capuccino.
