I purchased these two vegetables in a Southeast Asian grocery store. I have been told that they are both vegetables, and both can be peeled and sauteed in oil for an easy vegetable dish. I have also been told they are nice in curries.
Vegetable 1 (first two pictures) resembles a tiny zucchini. I will be using it in an Indian recipe that calls for zucchini.
Vegetable 2 (Pictures 3 and 4) is a little more unusual. I was told to cut away the outer prickly skin, then chop up and saute. But I am unsure of the seeds. You think they are edible?
