I received an All Clad slow cooker last year. The problem is, when I cook roasts, it attracts flies (no joke!). I have no clue where they come from and I never have this issue when I'm home and cooking. But, if i let a roast cook in the kitchen, I will always come home to a kitchen full of flies.
This never happened to me when I had a my cheapo Hamilton Beach slow cooker - and I'm wondering if perhaps the seal on the All Clad one isn't as tight. So, to that end, I want to try to weigh down the lid somehow, but I can't think of what I can use that won't be a hazard issue - and would do the trick.
