Last week I was at the cheese store and noticed a good supply of truffle butter. I thought I saw a sign that said $10. There may have been more than one size or brand.
On Saturday, I was at the cheese store again and grabbed the huge tub of butter along with several cheeses and bottles of wine. Bill was high but husband chose wine so I didn't think twice.
This morning I noticed that the tub cost $30, not $10. Eeck. And I also realized that it was a 1/2 pd. container. Eeck. I normally put truffle butter in shirred eggs and I am stumped as to how else to use it.
Ideas? Hopefully something I can serve as a main dish at a dinner party?
