Idea for interstate driving chow tips - what do you think?

We seem to get lots of these requests. As we all know, the search aspects of this site are quirky. I find when I'm checking the interstate threads when planning a trip that I constantly have to refer to a map in order to see which areas the recommendations are for.

Yosemitesam in Florida initiated a series of Orlando based threads to have a handy, regional guide for visitors.

Here is a link to one (of four iirc) :

I think that the SE board could do something similar. Perhaps break each interstate by state:

I-95 A Hounds Perspective - NC
I-95 A Hounds Perspective - SC
etc.

I envision this as addressing the needs of the traveler willing to make a short detour for good food and then get back on the road. Perhaps identify by exit number and town.

While there are scads of great places relatively close to the interstates passing through metro areas I think it best to define some guidelines for those listings. Heck, just about anyplace in Raleigh would be within 10 -15 minutes of I-40, I-440 or I-540!

I'd like this to be a discussion on the merit, or lack of for the idea and a place to kick around how to best format the possible future threads. Lets not get into posting our recommendations of chow stops here!

Thoughts?!
