idea for cookbook lovers

So, I was replying to a post about Indian cookbooks, and I got this idea. You know how people participate in book clubs where they all read the same book and then get together to discuss it over tea and crumpets? Anyway, how about a cookbook club where you all read the same cookbook (well, look through thoroughly, it's tough to read a cookbook cover to cover like a novel). During the month you all promise to try a certain number of recipes from the book (2,3, whatever people feel like). Then you meet at someone's place and discuss/compare notes. You could also meet for dinner and the host/hostess could prepare it using recipes from the cookbook, OR it could be a potluck type thing. So, anybody interested in this sort of a thing?
