We were in Santa Rosa last weekend and stopped at a burger joint on route 12 called Heavenly Burger. The burgers were ok, but what got me excited was they serve freezes, which is vanilla ice cream mixed with soda, like a milkshake but better. You can get it with root beer, sierra mist, and a local type of cola. I remember growing up in Seattle, there was a Dairy Queen up on Wallingford that served freezes. Hadn't had one in decades. Does anyone know of a place in SF/East Bay that serves them?
