the hype on andalu

Has anyone else had bad experiences there? i have been twice since it opened and found that the waitstaff were pushy, the dishes overpriced and the deserts had what seemed to be canned fruit. yucky. maybe its bad luck or is the popularity of the place a trendy emperors-new-clothes thing?
