I dragged some coworkers out for an early (but long) lunch at Go Hwang, the Korean restaurant we did a chowdinner at last week...
.only to find the door locked, tables removed, and a bunch of the kitchen equipment in the middle of the floor.
I couldn't tell if this was a temporary remodeling, or if she's decided to pack it in. I seem to recall a TV set on the upper balcony that I couldn't see from the doorway today, but it may not have been visible from the doorway ever. (I'd call and ask, but she's not very fluent in English).
Much woe! But at least some of us got there before it closed, unlike the previous May Hong chowdinner in Oakland. (maybe we're getting better at detecting closing restaurants.. yikes!)
