Hi friends! We are going to Paris at the end of the month for 6 nights and I am horrifyingly unprepared. I have been to Paris many times, but many years ago, so this is fresh for me too. My husband and I are in our early 40's, hip (in our heads, lol), and are always looking for culinary adventures, amazing food, unique experiences and French cuisine and wines are at the top of our list. We are looking for at least 2 "special occasion" restaurants (that we have a chance of getting into) as well as a few great recommendations for lunches. We are staying at the Bel Ami hotel in Saint Germain des Pres and so far have absolutely no plans, except we do know we will take a day tour to Champagne. We are hoping to mostly "live like locals", although we are staying in a hotel and would love to hear some beautifully curated (or in the case, merely considered) ideas from our experienced Parisian foodies. As well, what are a couple of really great foodie tours? I thank you in advance for sharing your expertise.
