Hurley's Steakhouse & Pub, New Rochelle, serves a tender prime rib...

About a year in the making, Hurley's Steakhouse & Pub has opened on Division Street in New Rochelle with a tempting menu offering steakhouse fare along with comforting gastropub favorites. We had our first meal early Sunday evening and it was a winner! After surveying the handsome bar/lounge and hearth over cocktails, we moved to a table in the formal dining room.
Our orders: we shared a platter of fresh Baked Clams and indulged in bread dunking throughout. We followed with a tasty Iceberg Wedge Salad that could feed two or three. We enjoyed the salad alongside a deliciously tender Prime Rib. It was boneless, about 3 inches high, with au jus and a side of mashed potatoes and horseradish cream sauce, vegetables, too. It will be available on weekends, we were told. It was served with a side of vegetables. And, oh boy, did we go after it! Have not had a prime rib like this for quite some time. Good beer and a couple of Cabernets helped wash it all down. We finished with a portion of Key Lime Cheesecake, smooth as could be.
By the time we left, the bar area was filled with folk waiting for a table. Looking forward to visiting again. www.hurleyssteakhouse.com
