Huntley Brunch Very Good (Surprisingly)

I've previously only known the Huntley as a somewhat pretentious bar with a view, and an agressive den of cougars with their claws out. However, we went there for brunch today and it was really impressive.

1) Special omelet - Shrimp & mushroom, really nicely prepared. Not sure whatt they did differently but looked like a gourmet omelet rather than your local diner variety.
2) Club sandwidch - It's a club sandwich, how good can it be? But the chicken was prepared really nice and was really juicy, with great bacon & fresh avocado, so this is as good as it can get.
3) Crab cakes - Now my expecations could not have been any lower. I love crab cakes and get a good one about 5% of the time when I order them. I was SHOCKED to find really fresh crab on the insider with very little stuffer, so I'd have to put this in my top 5 LA crab cakes.
4) Salad nicoise - Really fresh tuna tataki, with scalloped potato, egg, green bean, pepper. Really nice presentation.

The place was pretty empty but for an amazing view and good view, I'd highly recommend it, especially for the parental units or people in from out of town.
