Hungarian restaurants?

It seems as though all the Hungarian restaurants have vanished, not that there ever were that many.

Last year I did visit a lame little restaurant in San Francisco called Europa. It was located way down Mission Street almost in Daly City.

The food was clearly no better than what I could whack together at home. Noodles were the package kind, not the homemade ones I'd expected from the menu prices.

The "pancake" dessert consisted of one meager little pancake.

With the dessert, I tried to order a glass of Tokai Azu but was told by the waiter that one glass didn't justify opening a bottle, as the rest would spoil! I had already been put off by the waiter who sat pouting as he polished silverware with the end of his apron.

Not even close to the experience I had been hoping for, in fact not even close to Paprikas Fono.

Any suggestions for a GOOD Hungarian restaurant?
