Hummingbird and Raven in Ashland

Anne Emry | Nov 27, 200004:33 PM

A change from Gepetto's -- although only open for breakfast and lunch. The owner is the cook at this shopping center diner. We discovered the place on a road trip over Thanksgiving and ate there on the way up and on the way back. Highlights: the best coleslaw I've ever eaten, french fries that spouse said were really great, properly cooked three-minute eggs, and a menu we couldn't even make a dent in. I almost took a hunk of strawberry cheesecake to go but I didn't want to roll into Portland like that.
