Hudson Valley Restaurant Week - March 9-22, 2015

MisterBill2 | Jan 21, 201506:23 PM     79

The restaurant list isn't up yet but since we're less than 60 days from the start of the March Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, I figured I'd start my usual thread. Dinners are $29.95 and lunches are $20.95.

We went to Bocuse at the CIA last November for HVRW and had a really nice meal. The CIA takes reservations 60 days in advance so you can book now while reservations are still available. We're doing American Bounty this time, their menu looked really nice last time and they had fewer supplements than Bocuse (which I normally object to for RW, but put up with to get foie gras and their fancy dessert with liquid nitrogen ice cream). We haven't been to AB in years, so it will be nice to go back. I have confirmed that they will be honoring the HVRW menu all week (in the past they only used to do it weekdays at the CIA).

Reservations for Restaurant X and X2O should also be open, as well as other popular spots. North only does reservations 28 days in advance. The person at Valley Table tried to tell me that they normally only post their list 30 days in advance, but I know it's been up much earlier in the past, because I remember seeing the list before the 60 days than many restaurants open reservations at. I think it will probably cut back on the number of early reservations that people make, since most won't remember which places participate, certainly the non-major places.
