houston's restaurants - specific to LA area

okay, i'll just admit to this but my family LOVES houston's restaurants. but over the last year or so, many of our favorite entrees have been disappearing off the menus of their LA locations, specifically, the ahi tuna salad plate, hickory burger, peel and eat shrimp, traditional salad, and hot fudge sundae.

most recently, the flying chicken tenders are disappearing. we found ourselves at the pasadena houston's on christmas eve only to find out that their fry station for the chicken tenders had been replaced by a saute station that very week. but just one week before, the tenders were readily available. we have our suspicions though. along with the disappearance of the tenders came the introduction of sushi. hmmm. this is essentially what happened at their santa monica location some months ago. pasadena had become our go-to spot for their crispy light chicken tenders.

we've done some calling around and we've been told that the manhattan beach houston's still makes the flying chicken tenders and has no plans at this time to get rid of them. so, if you are a fan of them . . . . . . . head to the beach.

as for the ahi tuna salad plate, it can still be ordered in pasadena as an off-the-menu item. and last we've heard, the hot fudge sundae makes an appearance in pasadena just a few days every week.
