Based on the recommendations of this board, took clients to The Strip House downtown. Very nice ambience, good service and very good food. I had the NY Strip, but the choice of the house seems to be the bone-in ribeye. The sides were excellent, especially the string beans with garlic and the mashed potatoes. Caesar salad was very good, but you definitely need to share it with someone. Good wine list, but pricey--you need to know what to select. I got my waiter to sell us the Chateau Souverain Cabernet. by the bottle (listed on the wine list as being sold only by the glass. Total bill, with tip, came to $ 500. Definitely an expense account restaurant, but overall pretty good.

Next night ended up eating at Bossa, a Cuban themed restaurant. Food was much more reasonably priced and was excellent. The calamari was excellent and very tender, scallops very good, crabcakes delicious, and the plaintain with bean dip outstanding. Nice ambience and would highly recommend a visit.
