Houston Barbecue?- Thelma's Of Course

Jay Francis | Jul 20, 2002 03:40 PM

When I discovered Thelma's about a month or so ago, and tasted her oak and hickory smoked brisket, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I was there at about 11:00 in morning and the beef was so succulent, with this intense, smoky flavor that was just wonderful.

Then, I tried her catfish (and I don't like catfish) which was awesome.

You've got to check out Thelma's and if you like it as much as I do, please pass the word around. I would love to see her develop a HUGE following and I'm going to do my best to get the word out.

A great place to eat at if you're heading to the ballpark.

But what I like to do is stop off on the way home and pick up a pound of barbecue or ribs.
