Two-Hour Edit Window

JoanN | Sep 29, 2006 11:57 PM

I don't know why the decision was made to allow editing for only 2 hours after a message is posted and realize there may well be some kind of technical issue I don't understand that's behind this. But I'd very much like to see it expanded.

I find, particularly when I've written a long post such as a recipe review in one of the Hazan threads, that I don't reread it immediately after I've posted it. Often, the next time I look at one of my posts is after someone has responded to it, which may well be hours later. It's not until then that I realize there's some little editorial goof I'd like to fix.

If it's impractical to change that 2-hour window, I'll just learn to live with it. But is there some reason it can't be four, five, even twelve hours?
