I love Shanghai and consider it my second home (my wife and I own an apartment there which I plan to retire to in a few years). Unfortunately, I currently only get there for two or three weeks a year. I'd love to hear reports on the food scene these days, not only the trendy new restaurants that get reviewed elsewhere, but old line restaurants like Lao Zhenxing, Lao Banzhai, and Yue You on Fengyang Lu (next to the Paulaner Brauhaus, it's one of my favorite places for family gatherings). Even fast food chains (how's the xiaolong bao at Qiaojiazha these days?) and street foods (oh, do I hanker for some appropriately greasy shenjian mantou!) and DIY frozen delicacies at the supermarkets. Thanks!
