Hounding for hog

alex | Mar 21, 2006 11:36 AM

I'm looking for a big mamma jamma of a roasted pig. Actually, I'm not even sure "roasted" is the right word; I just want a huge friggin' impressive lookin' pig on my dinner table for a party of 20. Where can I go in the Downtown Toronto area to pick one up, all nicely cooked and dressed and all?

In fact, are there any butcher shops that sell a variety of belly-busting meats? I went to Oliffe's for a turducken a few months ago, which was my sole butcher shop experience. What if I wanted a giant side of beef, seasoned and cooked? The entire ribcage of a cow? An ostrich with head attached? Human placenta?

Is there a one-stop shop anywhere?
