I received a side of hot-smoked salmon for the holidays. Never had it before....very different from the lox that I'm used to putting on bagels, but I like it! 2 questions:
1. The box I received is Eagle River brand. Would you give this brand to anyone else? Have you had good experiences with other brands? I'm a hot-smoked salmon virgin and I'm not a picky eater, so I'm perfectly happy with what was bestowed upon me. But if I give hot smoked salmon as a gift, I want it to be of acceptable quality to people who might have more refined tastes...
2. How else can I use hot smoked salmon besides on crackers and in pasta with cream sauce?
