I don't usually go for hot pot (huo guo) as there always seems to be something that I want more than hot pot. However, I'm going to Flushing in a few weeks to meet up with some friends and I was thinking maybe hot pot would be fun. So which of the hot pot places are the best? I was generally debating between Udu Cafe, Xiao Fei Yang (Little Fat Lamb) and Shanghai Tide.
As far as what I want:
- price: doesn't matter
- quality: this is the most important thing to me, I don't care if its a la carte or AYCE, I only care about the quality of the broth, ingredients and condiments (sauces usually)
- decor: part of the reason I was thinking about Udu Cafe was that the place was supposed to be cool like some of the hot pot places in Taiwan that are alot of fun (plus I heard the food was good); all things being equal I'd prefer the place to not be a total dump although I don't care if its loud or not
Anyhow, since I don't actually have that much experience eating hot pot in Flushing any help would be great! Btw if there was somewhere in the city that is better happy to hear about that (although I doubt thats the case). Thanks.
