Does anyone else really like the hot fudge sundaes at Nichols in Marina del Rey? I think the sauce is the best I have had, and better than anything I have been able to make at home. The menu says it is housemade with Scharffenberger. It has a very rich chocolate flavor, not too sweet, and it doesn't harden on the ice cream. Has anyone tried to recreate it at home? I'd love to hear if you have ideas about how you would go about making it, or have tried to make a similar sauce at home. What is your favorite local hot fudge sundae?
