Since I've resuscitated my photo archive from October 2015, here's a word on the hot dogs from Steff Houlberg. My Danish cousin, Bunny, picked me up at the airport and asked what I wanted for lunch. I said I'd heard Danish hot dogs are a must. This made her husband, Bjarne, very happy as otherwise she restricts his consumption of polse.
They took me to a shopping mall that was on the way to their home in Roskilde.
I had wanted to try the classic red-dyed, boiled dog, but for some reason, none were available this day.
No matter, as I prefer grilled hot dogs anyway.
The condiments in squeeze bottles are stored upside down in holders that make it easy to squirt onto the paper trays.
I loved the snappy dog with a small roll served on the side, the crunchy fried onions and raw ones with selection of condiments. I asked for remoulade, hot mustard, and spicy ketchup.
Bunny ate her bacon wrapped one with fork and knife.
Steff Houlberg has locations and carts throughout the country, and even one in Korea! I wish that there were one near where I live.
