Decent hot dogs (NY and Chicago style) are not easily had in Dallas but one of the bright spots has been Wild About Harry's. Like most good things it started out being unpretentious and under organized. You walked in, placed your order, and sat down wherever you wanted. You wanted another dog or custard you got up and got it. I mean after all, it's a hot dog joint! Last night I went to the one at Forest and Preston and lo and behold it was sit down dining only! Give me a break! I've got to sit at a table and go through the rigmarole of table service for a hot dog? Now they wouldn't be doing this to take advantage of the affluent families who frequent this place would they? The perky wait person more than ready to flog specials, upsized choices, and over the top custard dishes? How sad.
