The good news:
I stopped in here yeasterday to check it out. They have 30 beers on tap and offered a really, really nice selection! Color me impressed. We each had a flight (4 glasses each). They have an excellent dark nitro, interesting sours, and a few ciders on tap. It appears they keep an interesting and varied line up and offer hard to find local beer as well. They offer the beer at the correct temps, they give tastes first, the waitstaff seems to know their stuff. Nice.
The bad news:
The Kobe beef burgers were disappointing. I ordered the kimchi Kobe burger but was informed they were out of kimchi. The menu *sounds* good but I have a feeling there is not much here that is anywhere above mediocre. That is a shame. The burger was a preformed patty. The fish and chips passing by me, on the way to another table looked very flimsy and sad. The happy hour menu looks fine for mostly ordinary pub snacks with your beer (onion rings, chicken wings, etc). I will probably do that next time if I need food there, instead of ordering off the dinner menu. The food here is not the attraction.
There is a beer garden outside that looks stunning. Kids are welcome and they offer a kids menu. The outside bar is a big custom shipping container. Very cute. The site is the old Osaka restaurant so the beautiful Japanese garden is right there. Wonderful place for a beer on a sunny day. It soooo beats sitting outside downtown next to the street.
The inside is a bit sterile (but well designed for viewing sports on t.v.) and boring but maybe that will change as time goes by.
