Three hoorays for Nemo

Sir Gawain | Oct 29, 200303:40 PM

I am just back from Miami Beach where I had to organize a big gala dinner for some 80 people. We chose Nemo (where I'd never been before), and it was fabulous. We were out in the courtyard under the plum tree; had a choice of two apps and three main courses (two of those specially commissioned for this event and not on the regular menu), plus the "symphony of desserts", which to me for $70 pp is pretty good. The dinner was somewhat chaotic at first because of some last-minutes seating arrangement changes (the space would ideally seat a max. of 70, but we lost control of the guest list), but the food (steak, salmon, and a duck breast special) was excellent, the service extremely accommodating and professional, the flowers (by Parrish designs: gorgeous, the atmosphere convivial and informal, and everything all around great. The event planner at Nemo, Jennifer, was a model of steady nerves and patience in the face of endless changes and special requests. I'm really looking forward to going back there on vacation and eating at Nemo on my own.

Couldn't recommend it more highly.
