HOOKED ON CANTO-FOOD!... this time, an amazingly delectable meal at ' Chi-Star, Richmond Hill '

Being deprived of my favorite Cantonese wok-hay stirred fry cuisine for over a year due to Covid, the family chowdown at Ritzy palace last weekend has somehow opened up the flood-gate for more, immediate dine-in Cantonese food ventures.

After spending the entire afternoon running errands and attending to some personal matters. On our way home, my wife and I realized we did not have time to prepare for tonight's dinner. As such, we started to debate as to what 'take-out' food we should bring back home? Driving past one of our favorite restaurant - ' Chi-Star ', we noticed a totally empty parking lot outside! Light-bulbs simultaneously light up telling the both of us that we have just found our tonight's dinner idea and destination!....and what a great choice that was!

With limited stomach capacity but a greedy appetite, we decided to order three of our past favorites.......knowing full well, with the complimentary soup-of-the-day and desserts, there's no chance in hell we can finish the food.

Our menu for two included:
- Chicken feet, pork bones, mung beans and aged tangerine peels soup ( complimentary )
- Stirred fry Yellow Fin Garoupa filet with King mushrooms, Snow-peas and Yellowing Chives.
- House special Braised duck with 5 taste-components profile.
- Stirred fry Beef with flat rice, ho-fun noodle ( Gone-Chow-Ngau-Ho )
- Creamy Taro and Tapioca sweet dessert soup ( complimentary )

Execution, quality and deliciousness of this top-notched meal easily trumps the enjoyable and praise-worthy offering of Ritzy Palace by at least a factor of two! Yes! This simple Chi-Star meal was THAT GOOD!!

For once, I'll just let the photos do the talking.......though its a pity one cannot smell the aroma of the wok-hay or taste those well seasoned, nicely caramelized and perfectly timed proteins and veggies.

Now spoiled......time to do more research and seek out somewhere even better and tastier?!
