Is there a consensus on which restaurants are the most overrated -- not the worst, but just way overrated based on reputation, review, price and/or a combination of all the above.
Here's my attempt at a first (albeit no doubt flawed) list:
MR. CHOW - There's better Chinese at Panda Express.
CRUSTACEAN - Go instead to the Long Beach Aquarium to see little fishies in caged environs.
DING TAI FUNG - Assembly line, cookie cutter dumplings and xiao long boa, and overpriced ones at that as well.
ASIA DE CUBA - A restaurant best "scene" at and not dined at.
BISTRO 45 - Would this place survive with a Westside address?
DRAGO - A potentially great Italian restaurant ... when Clinton was still sharing a cigar with Monica.
SONA - This, as they say, is the epitome of style over substance (and expen$ive style at that)
YANG CHOW - Do people realize that its famed "slippery shrimp" is really just a mutated form of orange chicken ... and this place doesn't even serve Chinese brocoli.
