little hong kong - first (and last) visit since owner change

Knew it was too good to last - to have a fantastic Chinese restaurant so close to our house.
We went for dinner at the Little Hong Kong in El Cerrito last night, the first since the ownership change a few months ago. Not at all as good as the previous incarnation. Previous owners offered high quality Cantonese-HK style cuisine, new owners offer a mish mosh of mainland(?) style of standard gloppy sauced mediocre dishes. The menu looked fairly promising. We ordered a Ong Choy dish (with garlic sauce at our request - wasn't a listed option), a crispy fried chicken (a speciality with the previous owners) and a sizzling plate of mixed seafood.
The chicken (on the menu as Golden Skin Chicken) was dry tho the accompanying sauce made it not so bad, the seafood was ok but the sauce was gloppy with a mix of canned and fresh veggies, the ong choy wasn't bad. The seafood tanks in the back weren't nearly as stocked as with previous owners. Certainly not inedible but with Saigon and Daimo so close we won't be returning.
