hong kong speakeasy, cautionary

I am sure there are many speakeasies in Hong Kong which offer quite excellent food at great prices. However, Club Qing is not one of them. For 480HK per person, one could normally eat quite well in any good restaurant in HK. However, at Club Qing, located in Lan Kwai Fong, the money goes towards small servings, falsely advertised menus (the pork we ate was supposed to be chicken, the traditional soup was diluted with cheap ingredients although it was pointed out by our waitress that the ingredients listed on the menu were all included in the soup as well (but in what proportion?), thimble sized servings of tea with no refills that were featured as part of the advertised menu, with pressure to order expensive individual pots of tea which cannot be shared with dinner partners as that would be against "policy"... all served up with snooty attitude and "cash payment only" requirement. If you are looking for an exceptional meal, this isn't the place. We were royally ripped off!!
