Hello there to all HK Chowhounds!
Things are finally working out for me to make a quick trip to Hong Kong again, and I have to make the most of the few meals I can squeeze in there...
We will be staying down in Tsim Sha Tsui again, and I was wondering if anyone had favorite places for jook? On previous trips, when we stayed at the Marco Polo, I would either just pop across the street for breakfast to Happy Garden on Canton Road, or go down the street to one of the places in the ferry terminal by the Royal Pacific. But the last time I went, Happy Garden appeared to have slumped in standards and raised its prices. this time, I thought I'd try some of the places between Nathan Road and TST East, around Cameron or Granville Road. Any recommendations?
Also, I have only two chances for yumcha, so I thought I'd go fancy. My parents have never been to Victoria City so I thought I would take them there to try - I've only been to the one in the Citic building, do people have any preferences for the one in Sun Hung Kai?
For Saturday yumcha, I'm considering One Harbor Road (Grand Hyatt), Toh Lee (Nikko), or Shang Palace (Kowloon Shangri-la)... are there any new stars to check out or downhill reports?
Many thanks in advance!
