Hi. As an avid chowhound and lucky college student, I am hoping to sample the best food that Hong Kong has. I know that's a tall order, but why else did I choose specifically to spend a semester abroad at one of the best food cities in the world? This board hasn't failed me yet.
I will be studying at the Chinese University of HK, but doubt getting into the city is a problem. I love subways (NY habit).
I've always compiled a new list of places to eat based on Chowhound recs, and I am calling to anybody who can help me put together an awesome list for different types of food in HK. I am already salivating to try the hairy crab, but alas by the time I get to HK in January, I doubt it'd even be available.
It's hard to pull a search with "Hong Kong" along with other keywords given that the name extends past the international board into others. Regardless, here is what I am hoping you can give me some pointers on.
-MOST IMPORTANT: dim sum recommendations, specifically locations (in hotels, just on a hidden street, addresses please)
-seafood (i can't wait!)
-chinese language schools
I'd really appreciate it if you all can help me out in this endeavor. I've planned this trip for more than a year, and unfortunately it was delayed due to SARs.
Good grief, I can't wait!!
