Honeymoon road trip: Savannah, Charleston, Asheville, Nashville, and Louisville

SlickMcFavorite | May 4, 201510:09 PM     6

The fiancee and will be doing a roadtrip through the southeast for our honeymoon in July, leaving from our home north of Tampa and staying for about two days a piece in each of the cities in the subject (3 in Louisville, but we'll be at a music festival so actually won't have as much time to hunt down good grub there as the others).

Looking for suggestions either in those cities, or at stops along the way. We'll be trying to stay in the most direct route possible from spot to spot (75/95 to Savannah and Charleston, 26 to Asheville, 40 to Nashville), but don't mind veering a little bit off track if it means finding a hidden gem. The plan for the drive home is to go from Nashville down through Georgia to get back to FL, so places in northern Georgia are welcomed also. Would mostly appreciate relatively affordable picks, but don't mind coughing up bit if it's for something special.

We're both incredibly unpicky eaters, so all suggestions are welcome. But we'll of course want to hit up at least one or two top BBQ joints, maybe some seafood in the coastal towns, etc. We're also big fans of bourbon and craft beer, FWIW.

Thanks in advance!
