My honey and I will be driving down to New Orleans for a short honeymoon the last week of May. It'll be the first visit for both of us and I had a couple questions. I figure I'll just compile a list of all the places that have been recommended in other posts and go from there for the most part. We'll be staying at the Balcony Guesthouse on Royal street and I was wondering if most most of the places recommended that were in the French Quarter were within walking distance or is it better to drive/take a trolly. What about a few good places to listen to some live music N.O. is famous for while having a meal or appetizers. Is the dinner cruise on the Natchez steamboat worth it or is it too touristy? The Friday we were planning on leaving is the start of a Greek festival, is it worth staying an extra day to see and try out the food? Any other suggestions to make it a memorable trip and honeymoon are appreciated.
