Honey themed dinner

vanessa7 | Jul 6, 201812:41 PM     33

My husband and FIL are extracting honey from the family beehive next week and I would like to put together a honey themed dinner. My first thought was buttermilk fried chicken (maybe the Ad Hoc recipe as it has honey in the brine) and biscuits with honey butter, mashed potatoes, corn, a nice cheese plate and a honey cake with figs and whipped marscapone to follow. Any other ideas? We could go for something more Italian (it is also the feast of St. Benedict, patron saint of beekeepers). The only foods I can't make are fish and lamb. Thanks CH!
