I have less time to cook lately. I enjoy frozen breaded fish fillets if they are of good quality but I wonder if the best ones might be homemade. Has anyone out there experimented with making frozen treats like french fries, fish sticks, breaded chicken or pork cutlets, etc? I do like to freeze a batch of (unbreaded) pork cutlets for later use, and they thaw quickly, but I wonder if I could do all the prep before freezing and then just drag em out of the freezer and drop em in the fat.
I also like to freeze meatballs and soups and stews. Any other suggestions? Any tips on thawing things in a hurry?
Is a Food-Sav-R really any better than just sucking the air out of a ZipLoc freezer bag? The guys on the Barbecue Freak board are all about Food-Sav-Rs but they're all crazy.
