I love living in the city, but summer just isn't the same without sun-warmed, home-grown tomatoes.
Last year I tried growing one measly Roma plant on my fire escape. The sun-exposure was piddling and neighbors' cigarette butts were too close for comfort. I might have harvested two fruits all summer. What a bummer!
Anyway, that's all. I just wanted to write tomatoes a short loveletter and let them know I'm sad.
