I was reading the posting about hash browns. My friend and I disagree with the contention that any old diner makes good home fries - in fact, we can't find one that makes even decent home fries. Just parboiled potatoes slapped around on a grill with green peppers and onions. What gives? No ooomph, no seasoning, no crispy-out/pillowy-inside.
I'm in the flower district - he's in Hell's Kitchen - we'd go anywhere for a decent home fries experience.
