Yesterday John (the BF) and I went once again to that epicenter of breakfast yumminess, Inn Kensington. Oh, man, their home fries. They use starchy potatoes, which break down and soak up juices and flavors way better than waxy potatoes. And their firm but yielding mealy texture! They also add small chunked tomatoes which normally I would object to, but they seemed to be deep red, fleshy, seasonal, sweet tomatoes and they gild the lily, which I entirely support. The biscuits are also great. Two come with the omelet plate, I only ate one, and even now regret that I did not wrap the other one to bring home. If they put biscuits and gravy on the menu I will *know* I'm in heaven. One of these times I plan to get *just* a plate of potatoes, with a side of biscuits. And coffee. The Atkins diet, HAH!
